I joined Stiles Financial Services in 2016 as an Investment Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. I am responsible for researching and analyzing investment opportunities, developing customized portfolios, and collaborating with the firm’s advisory team to create investment strategies and recommendations for our individual and corporate clients.
With more than 30 years of experience in financial services and asset management, I believe portfolio management begins with understanding each client’s unique goals, priorities, and circumstances. Our approach combines disciplined research, thoughtful portfolio construction, and a commitment to helping clients build wealth and retire with confidence. I value clear communication and strive to simplify complex investment concepts so clients can feel comfortable and engaged with our investment process.
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to advise high-net-worth individuals and families, support institutional investors and money managers, and work alongside some of the industry’s leading investment firms, including Fisher Investments, Merrill Lynch, Cowen & Company, Piper Jaffray, and RBC/Dain Rauscher Wessels. This broad perspective allows me to help clients evaluate opportunities, navigate market uncertainty, and identify strategies that align with their long-term objectives. My experience through multiple market cycles provides valuable insight into building portfolios and oftentimes providing emotional support to clients through changing market conditions.
A native of the Chicago area, I earned an MBA in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University, where I enjoyed being a four-year starting pitcher for the Wildcat baseball team. Today, I live in Orono with my wife, Mary, our three sons (although one son now lives in the Boston area), and Bailey, our active golden retriever. I have been actively involved in the community through youth and high school baseball, hockey and football programs, serving as a youth coach and as a high school hockey and baseball association board member. I have always enjoyed mentoring young athletes and helping them develop the same teamwork, discipline, and perseverance that has guided me throughout my academic, athletic, and professional career.
