I joined Stiles Financial Services in 2022 as an Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, I have worked across all major asset classes and have developed a strong understanding of how markets, securities, and portfolio risks are interconnected.

Throughout my career, I have focused on the quantitative side of security and portfolio analysis, with particular emphasis on risk management and derivatives. I believe effective portfolio management starts with understanding each client’s goals, time horizon, risk tolerance, and broader financial picture. From there, my work centers on disciplined research, thoughtful asset allocation, and helping clients stay focused on long-term objectives through changing market conditions.

Before joining Stiles, I had the opportunity to work with several leading financial institutions, including Northern Trust, Goldman Sachs, and U.S. Bank. I also developed and ran my own investment advisory firm for nearly four years. Those experiences gave me a broad perspective on investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk control, and the importance of clear communication with clients.

One of the things I value most in my role is helping make complex investment topics easier to understand. Whether discussing market cycles, alternative investments, risk management, or the economic forces shaping portfolios, I try to bring a practical and straightforward perspective. My goal is to help clients feel informed, confident, and engaged in the investment process, especially during periods of uncertainty.

I was born and raised in a northern suburb of Milwaukee and earned a BS in Business Management from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I later earned my MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, where I participated in the Carlson Funds Enterprise and helped manage a bond fund as part of the program’s experiential learning component.

Today, I live in Edina with my wife, Jill,  and our two boys. Outside of work, I enjoy watching my boys compete in their chosen sports and playing golfing.  In the past, I have coached some of my boys sports teams. Coaching has been especially rewarding because it gave me the chance to help young athletes develop discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that have also shaped the way I approach my professional life and my work with clients.
