He’s an Oregonian by birth, but a Viking at heart, and that’s what really counts anyway! As the Business Operations Manager, he will be working with the entire staff to keep a handle on technology, presentations and pretty much everything that it takes to deliver Top-Tier Care and Service to all our clients as we continue to grow. He’s got lots of experience in the financial world and a heart as big as Lake Mille Lacs and we are so excited to have Edgar as part of our team. FFR 265 – Introducing, Edgar!

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Financial Flash Report. My name is Edgar Villegas, and I’m delighted to be the newest member of the growing Stiles Financial Services team.

This week, I’m reporting on a topic I know quite well—me! This is my formal introduction to you all, and my hope is that you get a sense of who I am, and the skill set I bring to the team.

As a Business Operations Manager, I work closely with the team to run our office as efficiently as possible. This includes managing relationships with vendors, overseeing our technology stack, and refining internal processes to ensure our team is well-supported—so they can take care of you.

Before joining Stiles, I spent the last seven or so years in various roles. I’ve been a Client Service Associate, Financial Advisor, and Client Service Manager. All these roles helped me discover my true passion: Operations!

One of the reasons I chose Stiles Financial is because the team consistently goes above and beyond to care for our clients. It quickly became clear to me that this is a high-performing team dedicated to client service—and that’s exactly what I was looking for. Stiles has upheld its standard of care for over 25 years, and I wanted to be part of that legacy.

I grew up in Hood River, Oregon, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Oregon State University (Go BEAVS!). I now live in Minneapolis with my wife, Emily—who I actually met during the very first week of college. She’s an orthopedic surgeon, and when she’s not in the operating room, we enjoy attending live sporting events, concerts, and trying new restaurants. Fun fact: I grew up a Vikings fan!

I’m excited to be part of the team here at Stiles Financial and look forward to the bright future ahead.
